Kasia Czarnecka-Clarke, the designer-maker behind Formm, creates a range of kiln-formed glass objects suitable for decorative as well as functional use. The techniques used include fusing (melting or partially melting glass together) and slumping (forming a flat fused piece into a 3D object by subjecting it to heat and gravity). Her inspiration is multi-layered and often comes from a combination of everyday, seemingly mundane objects and textures which when translated into the medium of glass becomes an exciting, tactile and distinctive artwork. |
